Carbohydrate

Fruits are also known as carbohydrates but the healthier ones! Complex carbohydrates should be consumed more than simple carbohydrates. They have much more nutritional value and act as a more sufficient source of energy.
Carbohydrate

Another example of a simple carbohydrate are cookies. Again, this food has very little nutritional value and dissolve in a humans diet quickly.

Endothermic

Endothermic organisms are organisms that generate their own heat to maintain their body temperature. Usually many mammals are endothermic, but this bird is also an example of an endothermic organism. I took this picture when I visited the beach this summer!
Bilateral Symmetry

Symmetry at the center of the body, creating equal right and left halves. An example of bilateral symmetry are humans. This is my sister Allana, if you were to cut her in half she'd make equal left and right halves.
Homeostasis

Homeostasis is defined as an organisms ability to have a stable and constant internal environment. The thermometer represents homeostasis because temperature helps maintain the body's internal environment. The normal temperature of a humans body is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. If temperatures drop or get higher, we either shiver or sweat, these are called feedback controls.
Radial Symmetry

Radial symmetry is symmetry around a central axis. This flower in my bathroom has radial symmetry because you can cut it through the middle and they would still be symmetric.

Ethylene

Ethylene is a plant hormone. Ethylene can be found in these plants I took a picture of in the Bellagio garden. Ethylene is a natural gaseous plant hormone that helps with plant growth and ripening of many fruits.
